Nathan Maness vs. Ronnie Lawrence set for Valor Fights 40

Valor Fights returns to Nashville on February 11th and with it comes a huge bantamweight title fight. The 2016 BluegrassMMA Matchmaker of the Year is showing why he is deserving of the title as he’s put together Nathan Maness (7-0) in to challenge the champ Ronnie Lawrence (3-1).

The contender has never tasted defeat in his MMA career. Maness only stepped into the cage once in 2016 in a fight where he stepped up in weight to face Brandon Bell. Maness notched the decision in that fight at Warrior FC in September. Maness has 17 appearances in the cage and holds notable wins over Michael Ricketts and Kodey Gulley.

The champ Lawrence is looking to rebound following a tough loss at Bellator 162 in October. He went 2-1 for the year with wins over Adam Fritz and his championship victory over Brandon Webb at Valor Fights 33. Lawrence was undefeated as an amateur and started his career back in 2010.

The fight card also features unbeaten Clarksville, Tennessee native Edward Massey (3-0) taking on Atlanta’s Nick Sprayberry (2-3).

Valor Fights 40 will take place on February 11th at the Nashville Fairgrounds Arena and will air live on FloCombat.com.
