Ahead of next weekend’s Apex Fights 13 headliner, heavyweight Justin Goodin (4-2) had some choice words for his opponent Billy Swanson (4-1) in a recent interview with Pro MMA Now.

“I’m not real big on predictions,” Goodin said. “I used to get in there and talk and try to hype it up. But as you get older you realize that talking about it doesn’t really get it done. My prediction is that I’m going to go out there and give it my all. If he can handle my all, it’s going to be a war. If he can’t handle my all, it’s going to be a bad night for Billy Swanson.”

Goodin comes in looking to rebound from a loss against Gavin Walker in his last outing 11 months ago. Having made his debut when he was 16 years old over a decade ago, he’s no stranger to big-time fights.

But he’s coming into Swanson’s backyard in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, so he’ll need to drown out the crowd in the bout. A spot in the UMMAF national tournament is also on the line, meaning that the bout comes with a big-time feel for both fighters.

Swanson has won his last two bouts, and made his debut just over a year ago, so he’ll be at an experience disadvantage in this one.

“I’m not here to please anybody,” Goodin said. “I’m just here to fight. That’s what I’m going to do, and that’s what I’ve always done. I’m a fighter and Billy Swanson is going to get every bit of it.”
