Bellator MMA is set to host its second “Fight Series” event this weekend, as they will work in conjunction with Monster Energy to promote a four-fight card prior to the NASCAR Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

As BluegrassMMA first reported, the fight card features notables from the Kentucky and Tennessee area, including a main event pitting Ben Sergent (7-0) vs. Brandon Bell (7-6).

Sergent is unbeaten as a pro, including a recent win over Steven Bell at Valor Fights 43: Border Wars in May. Now living and training in Tennessee, the Kentucky native has picked up five straight wins via submission. He’s ranked as the No. 4 pro middleweight in Kentucky by Tapology.

Sergent told The MMA Report that he plans on being the first person to hand Bell a knockout loss at the event.

Bell also picked up a win at Border Wars, as he dominated Jason King to win a decision. The Kentucky native is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. He’s ranked as the No. 5 pro welterweight in Kentucky by Tapology.

“It’s just a good opportunity. I’m just glad for the opportunity to get on the big stage and show what a small town boy can do,” Bell told WMYT, adding that he’s going all-in on this fight. “I fight full time now, it’s how I pay the bills.”

The event will also feature autograph signings from former Bellator light heavyweight champion Phil Davis, as well as MMA legend Dan Henderson. The signings will take place from 3-4pm ET, with the fights beginning at 4pm ET and ending at 5:30pm ET.

In addition to Sergent vs. Bell, fast-rising lightweights Nick Gehrts (7-2) and Ken Beverly (5-2) will square off.

Tennessee’s No. 3 ranked lightweight, Gehrts has won three in a row, including a submission over Latral Perdue at Valor Fights 41 in March. Still just 20 years old, Kentucky product Beverly has won back-to-back fights, including a decision over Steven Haag at Border Wars. He’s ranked as the No. 4 pro lightweight in Kentucky by Tapology.

In another lightweight bout, Jonathan Pearce (4-3) will face Damir Ferhatbegovic (3-1).

After starting off 4-0, Pearce has dropped his last three. Normally fighting at featheweight, he’ll come up a weight class for this bout. He’s ranked as the No. 22 pro featherweight in Tennessee by Tapology.

Ferhatbegovic looks to rebound from his first loss as a pro, as he was submitted by Luis Pena at Valor Fights 41. He’s ranked as the No. 8 lightweight in Tennessee.

In the only amateur bout on the card, Ahva Mayi (3-1) will face Preston Schick (6-0) at featherweight.

Fresh off of back-to-back wins earlier this year, Mayi will face the biggest test of his career. The Nashville MMA product is ranked as the No. 6 amateur featherweight in Tennessee.

With three first round wins via TKO, Schick has yet to taste defeat. The 20-year-old is ranked as the No. 2 amateur featherweight in Tennessee.

The fights take place at the Earheart Campground. While they aren’t available on TV or to stream, the event is free to attend.
