HOOKnSHOOT is set to host its final show this year after more than 20 years, and the lineup is set for the event. The Farewell show takes place at the Memorial Coliseum in Evansville, Indiana on Saturday night.

In the main event, Keair Ross (5-0) and Markus Hall (8-3) will square off for the lightweight title. Ross said he planned to turn pro after beating Kyle VanCamp to claim the Colosseum Combat lightweight title in January, but he’ll have at least one more amateur bout first. Hall is a longtime HOOKnSHOOT veteran and he looks to extend his three-fight win streak in his first bout since 2015.

In the co-feature, Cody Schieve (5-6) and Lane Herold (1-2) will square off for the flyweight title. Schieve has just one win in his last seven outings after starting his career 4-0. Herold looks to even his record with his second straight win.

HOOKnSHOOT is the second longest running MMA promotion in the U.S., behind only industry-leading UFC.

Promoter Jeff Osborne is a true pioneer of mixed martial arts, including being one of the first promotions to feature women. In 1999, HOOKnSHOOT promoted its first female bout, and in 2002, the promotion held an all-female event.

Osborne also helped cultivate some of the biggest names in the sport, and HNS is where many of them got their start. Names like former UFC champions Dave Menne and Frank Mir had their pro debuts for the organization in the 90s.

HNS has lost some steam in recent years, and Osborne has said he’s not as passionate about MMA as he is about his new business venture – an arcade.

“The Farewell Show” will feature an amateur lineup, and Osborne will even check off one box in the MMA industry that he hasn’t done just yet: ring card girl.
