Isaiah Chapman (6-3) has a new opponent for the main event of next month’s inaugural Honor Fighting Championship 1 event, as he’ll now take on Robert Walker III (5-4) in the night’s featured bout. Chapman was originally slated to face Josh Robinson, but an injury to Robinson forced matchmaker Scott Corbin to find a replacement.

Once lauded as a top prospect, Chapman has just one fight since 2014, a bout that earned the 2016 BluegrassMMA Pro Fight of the Year award for his decision loss against Jerrell Hodge at Caged Madness 43 last June. The one-time World Series of Fighting veteran looks to snap a two-fight losing streak, as he dropped a bout against Timur Valiev at WSOF 14 in 2014.

Walker will compete for just the second time since 2012. In his most recent bout, he submitted Joe Pegg in the main event at IT Fight Series 45 last July. He was slated to take on Donnie Ballou at this past weekend’s IT Fight Series 76, but that bout fell through. Three of his five wins have come via submission.

Honor Fighting Championship 1 takes place on Oct. 21 at Chapparells Community Center in Akron, Ohio. Check out the current lineup below.
