In a match of two undefeated fighters, it was Kellen VanCamp (7-0) who came out on top over Clay Baker (6-1) at Hardrock MMA 86: 8 Year Anniversary show.

VanCamp earned the title shot after he submitted William DeBandi at Hardrock 85. It was Bakers first time defending the belt since he captured it at Hardrock 84 after stopping Seth Dixon.

It was a knee to the chin that set-up the finish for VanCamp. Midway through the second round, the Hyten MMA fighter landed the first of two knees that put Baker on the defense. Seeing the opportunity, VanCamp decisively took his shots, making sure each one was on point and accurate.

The second knee put Baker right down to the ground. VanCamp followed the knee with two devastating punches that forced referee Gary Copeland to step in and call the fight.

Gangsters,” VanCamp wrote on Facebook describing the photo pictured above. The VanCamp brothers, Kellen, Cameron, and Kyle, have been a staple in the Indiana community for some time. Only now the rest of the Ohio Valley region is taking notice as they begin to travel to various promotions outside the Hoosier state.

Colosseum Combat and Hook-N-Shoot matchmakers were quick to offer up title shots to VanCamp after his victory. “6/3/17 I have another belt up for grabs,” Mark Slater posted. Cody Huggins followed that up with, “Mark Slater tell em to come see us in Evansville we may have one too.

It looks like 2017 is going to be a busy year for Kellen VanCamp.
