Sid Wheeler (5-1) will get the opportunity to bounce back from the first loss of his career, as he is set to defend his middleweight title against Brendan Allen (5-1) at Valor Fights 39. The event takes place on Dec. 2 at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, TN.

Still just 20 years old, Wheeler comes in off of a loss against Gerald Meerschaert in his last bout at Valor Fights 36 in August. Prior to that, he won his first five bouts, including victories over Julio Gallegos, Justin Fisher, and Kendrick Miree. Wheeler is currently ranked as the No. 3 middleweight in Tennessee according to Tapology.

Allen hails from Louisiana and is a two-time Legacy FC veteran. Also just 20 years old, he’s the No. 3 ranked middleweight in his home state and No. 14 overall in the Southeast. All five of his wins have come via stoppage, including three submissions in a row.

Also set for Valor Fights 39 is a flyweight title bout featuring CJ Hamilton (9-4) vs. Cory Alexander (9-8). Hamilton is on a four-fight winning streak and is the No. 3 ranked flyweight in the Southeast and No. 1 in Georgia. The veteran Alexander is coming off of two straight losses, including a bout in Russia earlier this year. He’s ranked as the No. 13 flyweight in the Southeast.

The entire event will stream live on FloCombat.com.
