Gladiators of the Cage 21 is set to go down this Saturday night at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the 11-bout card is anchored by two pro title fights to go along with a pair of amateur title bouts.
In the main event, Joey Holt (7-2) will take on Michael Pope (5-1) for the organization’s vacant lightweight title.
Hailing from nearby East Liverpool, Ohio, Holt looks to post his fifth straight victory in the headlining contest. “The Hitman” earned a title shot with his victory over Andrew Osborne in his promotional debut at GOTC 19 last October.
Pope is on a three-fight winning streak, but he has just one fight since 2014, as he took all of 2015 off. But he returned to the cage in February, when he topped Michael Lilly at a Fight Time Promotions event in Florida.
The fight card will also feature two UFC veterans, as Chris Dempsey and Dan Spohn compete in separate bouts. Dempsey will face Canadian Adam Hunter, while Spohn is set to face Robert Morrow for the light heavyweight title.
The event is scheduled to stream live and free on the promotions’s website, GOTCMMA.com. The stream begins at 7pm ET.
