Colosseum Combat XXXI

February 21st – Kokomo, IN

Mark Slater’s promotion returns to Northwest Indiana, and in a rarity for local events, more pro bouts (6) are on tap for this card than amateur contests (5).

The headliner features a pair of familiar faces squaring off for the bantamweight title, as Chicagoland fighter Lloyd Carter (8-7) faces Cincinnati’s Chris Dunn (9-5) at 135 pounds. Dunn, who is a ridiculously big fighter for the weight class, has won 2 of 3 fights and is 7-2 in his last 9. Interestingly enough, his last 3 losses have all come in Pittsburgh. Carter has lost 2 of his last 3, but the Team Colon fighter is one of the top talents in Indiana.

In the co-feature, “The Ultimate Fighter 9” veteran Daniel Head (11-9) is set to take on Ohio’s Tyler Combs (14-11). Keeping with the Ohio vs. Indiana theme, Ohio’s Reggie Merriweather (5-5) will take on Indiana’s David Love (14-14-1).

You can check out the full card for Colosseum Combat XXXI here, and be sure to check back on Saturday night for live results, as BluegrassMMA’s own Juan Valle will be on hand covering this event.
