This weekend at Ohio Fighting Championship (OFC) Aaron Jeffery (6-1) will square off against Bryan Howe (6-6). The two will be vying for the currently vacant middleweight title.

Jeffrey, who hails from Canada, will be making his way down to the buckeye state once again. He has looked seemingly unstoppable since his amateur debut, winning his last 6 bouts. The lone loss on his record came when he dropped a decision to Bob Moore. That loss apparently set a spark off inside the young fighter. With the win streak, he has set himself up for his first title. He will be taking on a seasoned veteran in Howe.

Howe has an even record and quite the experience inside the cage. He has amassed 12 bouts, dating back to 2010. Last year alone the Delaware, Ohio native competed on 6 separate occasions. The “in-cage” participation will help him as he meets one of the toughest opponents he has ever faced.

Team Ascension fighter, Jeffery, looks to capture his second title. He recently picked up the IT Fight Series title in his last bout when he defeated Alex Schultz by decision. Now he has his eyes set on Howe as he looks to bring home another win for the team.

Chris Bonfoco, the man-in-charge at Ascension, has been breeding some talented fighters bringing them down from the “great white north.” Jeffery is just the latest of fighters making a name for himself here in Ohio.

The two fighters will be in the co-main event of this weekends March Massacre II show which goes down at the Marriott Courtyard in Columbus. Tickets for the event have been sold out for weeks but as fighters return their tickets a few might become available for purchase. We will keep you updated on our Facebook page as news becomes available.
