First pro female bout set for Pinnacle FC 18

Hope Chase vs Heather Walker Leahy

Hope Chase vs Heather Walker-Leahy

For the first time in promotional history, Pinnacle FC 18 will feature a professional women’s bout, as Hope Chase (0-0) will make her pro debut against Heather Walker-Leahy (1-0).

Pennsylvania’s Chase jumps into the pro ranks after a 4-0 amateur run, including winning the Bizzarro Promotions amateur title over Liz Lewis in her third outing. Three of her four wins as an amateur came via TKO, including her last win over Despina Karavas at Ring of Combat 64 in July. She’s ranked as the No. 2 pound for pound female fighter in Pennsylvania by Tapology.

Her opponent comes in from Maryland looking to keep her perfect record intact. After a 3-0 amateur stint, Walker-Leahy was victorious in her pro debut with a decision win over Whittany Pyles at Shogun Fights 19 in June.

Matchmaker Nichole Castillo has long been known for her connections in the women’s MMA community, and she’s also scheduled an amateur women’s bout for the event, as Meghan Williams (1-3) will face Alexis Flaherty (1-0).

Also set for the event is an amateur bout featuring Sal Desimone (3-0) against Ohio’s Drew Dickson (5-1), and Cody Law (2-0) taking on Keith Espinosa (3-0).

Tickets for Pinnacle FC 18 are extremely limited but can be purchased here. The event will stream live via FloCombat (subscription required) here.
