Lineup set for Bayfront Brawl VI with 14 bouts

Bayfront Brawl VI

Bizzaro Promotions is set to return tomorrow night on Thanksgiving Eve for their sixth event, as Bayfront Brawl VI goes down at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The event features a total of 14 bouts, including three in the pro ranks. Headlining the event is Erie native Jeremiah Yeager (4-8) taking on Iowa’s Eric Vo (15-18).

Yeager has won back-to-back bouts via submission after a streak where he had lost five of six. This will be the third Bayfront Brawl appearance for Yeager, who has won his previous three outings for the promotion via submission.

Vo makes the trek east looking to snap a two-fight losing streak.

Other pro bouts feature middleweights Jay Brown (0-0) vs. Josh Krizan (1-0), and flyweights Nikolai Gionti (0-1) vs. Marquis Johnson (0-2).

Brown makes his pro debut after a 7-1 amateur record that led him to the No. 1 amateur middleweight ranking and No. 2 light heavyweight ranking in Ohio according to Tapology. After making his amateur debut in 2012, he closed out his eight-bout run with a decision over Victor Greutman in May.

Krizan comes in from Cleveland looking to pick up his second pro win. After a 9-1 amateur career, he earned a victory in his pro debut with a submission due to strikes over John Antanitis at Bayfront Brawl III in 2017.

After a 14-bout amateur career, Johnson looks for his first win as a pro here. The Ohio native traveled to Colorado to make his pro debut, but came up short in his first two pro bouts via submission.

Gionti had a 6-0 amateur run from 2014-2016, but he lost his pro debut against Dalton Brady at Bayfront Brawl III. This will be his first appearance since that bout a year and a half ago.

In the amateur main event, the light heavyweight title will be on the line as Edwin Taylor (7-4) faces Trenton Zdarko (4-2).

Taylor made his MMA debut in 2011, but took more than three and a half years off before returning to action in 2016. He’s 3-2 in that stretch, with his most recent win coming over Mitchell Dotto at Honor FC 5 in June. He’s ranked as the No. 6 amateur middleweight in Pennsylvania.

Zdarko has produced all four of his wins via first round stoppage, including a submission over Dotto in his last outing at BCM Promotions: Fight Night 3 in October.
