Edwards competes for the second time since being cut from the UFC last year, as he was stopped by Devonte Smith at Alliance MMA in March. “Fast Eddy” competed seven times in the Octagon, compiling a 2-5 record. He also competed on both season 13 and season 25 of The Ultimate Fighter, where he became a fan favorite for his aggressive style.
Prater competed three times in the UFC in 2012, compiling a 1-2 record. The former WEC title challenger had a rough stretch following his UFC stint, losing seven of eight bouts including six in a row. He’s turned things around recently, however, winning his last two bouts, including a split decision over Evan Samad at Premier MMA Championship 5 and a submission over Eric Scallan at LFA 32.
Rankin makes his pro debut after a 10-0 amateur career, including winning the Absolute Action MMA and Premier MMA titles. Taylor looks to even his pro record with a second straight win after starting out 0-2.
The third pro bout will feature Taylor Ruscin (6-0) vs. Tavae Lewis (1-1) in a welterweight bout.
Ruscin competes for the first time since 2015, when he topped Brandon Bell via submission at a Warrior FC event. That’s his lone bout since 2013, and he returns looking to remain unbeaten. Lewis comes in from Illinois looking for his second straight win.
