Hardrock MMA will celebrate their 100th event on August 11th at Louisville’s 4th Street Live. The milestone is set to offer free general admission as well as select VIP packages. Today we learned of the first official fight announcement as Lance Lawrence (4-0) has signed to fight Justin King (7-5) in a featherweight bout.
Indiana’s Justin King comes into the fight winning two of his last three. He has noteable wins over Hardrock MMA veterans Michael Ricketts, Cody Gabelman and Charles Stanford. He defeated Ricketts in his last outing at Colosseum Combat 43. King is durable and has proven to give fits to his opponents inside the cage.
Louisville’s Lance Lawrence comes in undefeated throughout his MMA journey. Lawrence has shown few flaws on his way to a perfect 4-0 start as a professional. He was a hopeful for The Ultimate Fighter 27 that is closing out now. His opponents were a combined 13-5. He is the number 4 ranked featherweight according to Tapology.
King has shown to be a solid wrestler and grinds his opponents down which is the opposite of Lawrence’s resume. Very few of Lance’s fights have made it out of the first round. It is a great booking in that aspect.
