The heavyweight title will be defended on June 30th when Johnathan Ivey returns to Kokomo to face Travis Fulton at Colosseum Combat XLV. The pair have combined for an astounding 415 fights, give or take a few.
The leglock monster himself Ivey captured the title back in August of 2017 with a win over Jordan Mitchell. Ivey has had a storied career that has seen the true veteran of the sport travel around the world competing. He was set to face Shonie Carter originally but was replaced with Travis Fulton.
If you thought Ivey’s resume was long and robust, Travis Fulton has been around for 20 plus years fighting. His record stands at 253-54-10. He has fought everywhere from the UFC to events in Germany and all over. He’s faced legends such as Travis Wiuff, Joe Riggs, Forrest Griffin and more. His last fight was in Slovakia back in November of 2017.
Mark Slater was excited to Land Fulton as a replacement with just a few weeks before the event. Ivey will be making his first title defense and at the same time is preparing for his own event, as the promoter, coming up in July.
