Three pro bouts set for Premier MMA Championship 8

Three pro bouts are set for Premier MMA Championship 8, which takes place on June 2 in Covington, Kentucky.

The pro bouts include Muhammad Abdullah vs. Marcus Finch, Charlie Stanford vs. Mike Roberts, and David Rankin vs. Joshua Stanley.

Abdullah (10-4) comes in off of a big win over John Troyer at VFC 60 this past weekend in Indiana. He’s won two of his last three bouts and is ranked as the No. 3 pro middleweight in both Indiana and Michigan by Tapology.

Finch (10-10) posted back to back wins in 2017 after returning from a two-year layoff. Both wins came under the Premier MMA banner over Tony Parker and Raleigh Abbott and he is ranked as the No. 6 pro middleweight in Kentucky.

G-Force’s Stanford (6-9) looks to snap a four fight losing streak. His last win was a TKO over James Ballinger at Absolute Action MMA 44 in 2015.

Roberts (6-7-1) returned from a layoff last month to face Khama Worthy in the main event at Pinnacle FC 16. He came up short in that bout but the Louisville resident looks to pick up a win here.

Stanley (0-1) makes his second pro appearance after coming up short against Zak Kelly at Art of War Cagefighting 1 last year.

Rankin (0-0) makes his pro debut after a 10-0 amateur career. The 24-year-old closed out his amateur career after topping Jake Kools to win the Premier MMA featherweight title in February.
