Kyle VanCamp wins his professional debut

Kyle VanCamp (1-0) started his professional career much like he did as an amateur, on the winning side. VanCamp took on Blayze Rodgers (0-4) in a lightweight contest at Colosseum Combat 43.

VanCamp was able to take control of the fight early on before he took Rodgers down to the ground. Working for position, VanCamp was able to gain top control where he worked Rodgers guard. VanCamp eventually worked his way to side control where he saw an opening and immediately locked the darce choke into place.

Just after he locked in the submission hold VanCamp turned over to secure the choke. It was only seconds later that Rodgers was forced to tap-out from the darce choke.

VanCamp, along with his brothers Cameron and Kellen, celebrated the victory inside the cage. The brothers are all too familiar with celebrating each other’s victories. Just three weeks ago at Hardrock 96, Kellen VanCamp remained undefeated winning his tenth amateur fight after stopping Jacob Dorman in the fourth round.

The official result, Kyle VanCamp submits Blayze Rodgers by submission at 4:03 of the first round.
