Ben Rowland faces former NFL player Austen Lane at Warfare MMA 18
FloCombat is reporting that a fight between two fighters known for inflecting large amounts of pain on opponents is set to go down, as heavyweights Ben Rowland (4-0) and Austen Lane (3-0) will headline Warfare MMA 18 on March 10 in South Carolina.
The Kentucky native Rowland has put together a healthy resume thus far, finishing all four of his wins as a pro via first round knockout. He’s also captured the Valor Fights, Warrior FC, and Premier MMA titles, and despite being 41 years old is one of the most feared fighters in the Ohio Valley.
Rowland’s opponent is a force to be reckoned with, according to FloCombat:
After spending five years playing in the NFL, the former Jacksonville Jaguar transitioned into MMA, where he’s been nothing short of a wrecking machine. Lane competed five times as an amateur and captured all five victories by way of knockout–all of which happened inside the opening frame.
Lane made the jump to the professional ranks in 2017, scoring brutal knockouts in all three of his trips to the cage last year. Lane also continued the trend of not allowing his opposition to see the second round, with his total amount of cage time as a professional coming in at a combined 2:13 of work.
