A grudge match between featherweights Frank Caraballo (14-10) and Antonio Castillo Jr. (10-7) headlined IT Fight Series 78 event in North Olmsted, Ohio, and it was Castillo who got retribution with a split decision win.
Castillo snapped a three-fight losing streak, as he returned to action for the first time since suffering a gruesome leg injury last December. For Caraballo, it was his third straight loss as he returned to action after a layoff of a year and a half.
In the co-main event, Jose Martinez (4-0) stayed unbeaten, topping Elijah Harris (2-1) via TKO in the first round. Martinez has quietly racked up three wins in 2017, with two coming via TKO to advance his perfect record.
Also, Strong Style Fight Team product Aleksa Camur (2-0) picked up his second pro win, as he finished David White (0-1) via TKO in the second round of their light heavyweight bout.
In a welterweight bout, AJ Dobson (3-0) also remained unbeaten when he handed Montrel James (2-1) his first loss via unanimous decision.
Tobiaus Taylor (1-2) picked up his first pro win, as he took home a unanimous decision against New Yorker Quentin Gaskins (1-4) at a catchweight of 140 pounds.
