Travis Davis (4-1) will make his return to mixed martial arts next month, as he announced that he’ll face Alan Stewart (4-2) at IT Fight Series 79 on Dec. 15 in Columbus.

Davis looks to rebound from his first MMA loss, as  he was knocked out by Sid Wheeler in just 6 seconds at Justified Defiance Fight Series 5 in March. Since that loss, “Bam Bam” has focused on his striking, posting a 3-0 pro boxing record with a pair of TKO wins. Davis is currently ranked as the No. 2 pro light heavyweight in Ohio by Tapology.

Stewart comes in from Knoxville, Tennessee with just two fights in the past two years. Both of those bouts were losses, as he came up short against Jay Gray at Valor Fights 33 and Chase Gamble at Next Level Fight Club 8 in September. He kicked off his pro career with four straight wins, including three via submission. He’s currently ranked as the No. 7 pro light heavyweight in Tennessee.

Trent McCown (7-3) also announced that he’ll be returning to action against Isaac Steele (6-1) at the event. The two fighters have long been lauded as perhaps the best 170-pound prospects in the state.

McCown competes for the first time since April 2016, when he moved up two weight classes to face Brian Booth at light heavyweight. He came up short in that bout, and he has just two fights since 2013. His other fight was a victory over Andrew Law at Caged Madness 33 in January 2015. He’s ranked as the No. 5 pro welterweight in Ohio.

Steele competes for the second time under the IT banner, as he made his promotional debut with a TKO victory over Oliver Vadnais at IT Fight Series 73 in June. He has five wins via stoppage, including three via TKO and two via submission. He’s ranked as the No. 4 pro welterweight in Ohio.

Unbeaten pro heavyweight Aaron Bush (2-0) also announced his inclusion on the fight card. Bush competes for the first time since August 2016, when he submitted Ryan Walls in the first round at IT Fight Series 46.

Also, Crystal Demopoulos (0-0, 6-1 am) announced that she’ll make her pro debut at the event.

After making her amateur debut in Ohio, she’s picked up her last two wins in Las Vegas this year. Her only loss as an amateur was against currently UFC bantamweight Katlyn Chookagian, and she’s currently the No. 2 ranked pound-for-pound female fighter in Ohio.

IT Fight Series 79 takes place at Express Live on Dec. 15.

This article was updated on November 28, 2017 to add that heavyweight Aaron Bush has also announced his inclusion on this fight card.
