Dan Spohn (16-5) will challenge Anton Berzin (5-2) for the promotion’s light heavyweight title at CFFC 69 next month.

The Ohio native has won four bouts in a row, and eight of nine since his time on Season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2014. In that time, he’s won both the CFFC and IT Fight Series heavyweight titles, and now he looks for his third title in his natural weight class after winning the NAAFS and Gladiators of the Cage titles earlier in his career. Most recently, he submitted Angel DeAnda in the first round at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series #2, but he was unable to secure a UFC contract with the win.

Berzin also competed on Season 19 of TUF, and most recently competed on DWTNCS, although he lost a split decision to Kennedy Nzechukwu in his bout. He won the CFFC light heavyweight title with a TKO victory over Jamelle Jones at CFFC 65 in May. He has three wins via submission and two via T/KO.

CFFC 69 also features champion Ricky Bandejas defending his bantamweight title against Mario Pereira, Sean Santella defending his flyweight title against Kevin Gray, and Pat Sabbatini defending his featherweight crown against Cisco Isata. The event goes down on December 16 at The Borgata in Atlantic City.
