Results – Colosseum Combat XLI

Colosseum Combat XLI goes down in Kokomo, Indiana this evening, and two of the event’s three pro bouts will feature Ohio vs. Indiana matchups.

In the co-main event, Ohio’s Reggie Merriweather (12-10) will face Indiana’s Joe Lile Jr. (7-3) in a welterweight bout. In another welterweight bout, Ohio’s Tyler Combs (15-14) will look to derail Indiana’s Dustin Parrish (5-1-1).

Vision MMA’s Merriweather will compete under the CC banner for the seventh time as a pro, as he has compiled a 5-1 record for the promotion thus far. He has an unblemished record over the past year, with four straight wins over Anthony Morgan, Jameson Sharp, Caleb Williams, and Terry House Jr.

Lile has a 2-1 record under the CC banner, with his only loss coming in a lightweight title bout against Damian Norris in February. He returned from a layoff of two years just over a year ago and most recently picked up a win over Ryan McIntosh at CC XXXIX in June.

Combs is just 1-9 in his last ten bouts, but he looks for a signature win over Parrish here. His most recent win was a submission over Daniel Head at CC XXXI in 2015.

Parrish competes under the CC banner for the first time since 2015, when he submitted Christopher Burchfield in the -first round at CC XXXI. Most recently, he topped Kendrick Terry via decision at an ECC event in April.

The main event at Colosseum Combat XLI will also feature an Ohio native, as Vision’s Dom Steele (13-9) will face Portland Pringle (10-8) in a middleweight bout.

Steele’s last five bouts have come under the UFC banner, but he will compete back on the regional scene here. It’s not clear whether he has received his UFC release just yet, but he was cleared to find fights outside of the organization.

Steele posted a 1-4 record in the Octagon, with his lone win coming via a devastating knockout due to a slam at UFC Fight Night 79 in 2015. Most recently, he dropped a decision against Luke Jumeau at UFC Fight Night 110 in June.

The Kentucky native Pringle will come in looking to snap out of a two-fight losing streak, as he has dropped back to back bouts against JD Domengeaux and Chris Curtis this year. Prior to the two losses, he had won three straight, including his first fight against Domengeaux.

Colosseum Combat XLI will stream live right here on BluegrassMMA courtesy of Fite TV for $14.99.

The event also features a total of seven amateur bouts. Check out the official results below.
