Colosseum Combat is planning to send 2017 out with a bang, as a big-time welterweight title fight has been added to December 2nd’s Colosseum Combat XLII.

In fact, VanCamp is ranked as the No. 2 pro welterweight in the Hoosier State, while Highbaugh checks in right behind him at No. 3 according to Tapology.

Highbaugh looks to defend the title for the first time after submitting veteran Daniel Head to win it at CC XXXIX in June. The 32-year-old has half of his wins as a pro via stoppage, including a pair of wins via strikes. He’s 3-0 overall under the Colosseum Combat banner with wins over Head, Chris Blevins, and Zachary Edington.
The 24-year-old VanCamp looks to claim his second welterweight title in as many outings, as he submitted Que Parks this past weekend to claim the Hardrock MMA crown. He’s also 3-0 under the CC banner, with wins over Bobby Emmons, Joe Baize, and Reggie Merriweather.
Another pro bout has been announced for the event, as rising lightweight Renaldo Weekley (1-1) and Keair Ross (1-1) will square off. Both fighters had impressive amateur careers, with Weekley posting an 8-1 record while Ross was unblemished at 5-0. Both also have one pro win to their credit, with Weekley topping Brandon Kaiser via knockout at CC XXXV, and Ross topping James Sanchez via decision at CC XL.
Colosseum Combat XLII takes place on Dec. 2 at the Kokomo Event & Conference Center in Kokomo, Indiana.
