Bellator NASCAR event in Bristol features Sergent vs. Bell, many familiar faces

Bellator continues with their summer Monster Energy NASCAR series next month in Tennessee as they head to Bristol Motor Speedway on August 19th. The card is being comprised of several names you’ve heard of. The list of targeted fights seems like a who’s who of Kentucky and Tennessee.

Ben Sergent (7-0) will return to meet Brandon Bell (7-6). The pair both recently picked up wins in Corbin at Border Wars. Sergent dusted off a couple years of inactivity to get a first round win over Steve Bell. A three fight winning streak follows Brandon Bell into this fight. He dominated Jason King in his last outing. Sergent announced the bout via Instagram.

A targeted fight between Nick Gehrts (7-2) and Ken Beverly (6-2) should catapult one of the youngsters ahead of the pack. Gehrts has won three in a row. His last fight was a first round submission at Valor FC 41. Beverly defeated Steven Haag in May to make it back to back wins. Gehrts announced the bout via Facebook.

These are targeted fights and still subject to change. This will be Bellator’s second Monster Energy NASCAR series event. The first one took place in Charlotte back in May. The fights will serve as a pre-race activity for fans in attendance and will not be televised.

BluegrassMMA has also learned of two other fights  targeted for this event but as always the lineup subject to change. Damon Ferhatbegovic announced via Facebook that he will be part of the event as well.
