Valor Fights heads to Georgia next month for co-promotion with Conflict MMA
Valor Fights will co-promote an event for the second time this year next month, as the promotion is headed to Rome, Georgia on July 22 to host an event alongside Carolina-based Conflict MMA.
The event will be headlined by a Valor Fights lightweight title bout, as Georgia native Kobe Wall (4-0) takes on Arkansas’ product Luis Pena (3-0). Wall has competed extensively under the Conflict banner since his amateur days, including his first two pro bouts. All of his wins have come via stoppage, including a submission over Zach Cook at Valor Fights 41 in March. Pena made his Valor debut in March as well, defeating top prospect Damir Ferhatbegovic with a triangle choke in the second round.
In the co-feature, Conflict’s Jamie Pickett (7-2) will take on Valor’s Doug Usher (7-3), a Georgia native. Pickett has competed just once since October 2015, a victory over Rashaun Spencer at Conflict MMA 42 last November. Six of his wins have come via strikes, and he currently holds a six-fight winning streak. He already holds a win over Usher, a second round knockout at Legacy FC 47 in 2015. Usher will look to extend a three-fight winning streak dating to the loss against Pickett.
Also, Georgia’s Lindsey Jones (2-0) will look to continue the hot start to his pro career, as he’s picked up a pair of first round TKO wins under the Valor banner in his first two fights. He’ll take on Kentucky’s Jason Wolf (0-0), who makes his pro debut after a 7-5-1 amateur record.
The event will be streamed live via FloCombat. Check out the current lineup below.
