Ben Rowland wins main event to become two promotional champion
The heavyweight fight was unique in that both promotions, Warrior FC and Valor Fights, put their titles up for grabs. Essentially, whoever won the match would put them in the rare position of being a two promotional champ.
Unfortunately, for Dustin Long, the end was not what he was expecting. Long went for an early takedown, but Rowland was able to defend the attempt successfully. Using Long’s momentum against him, Rowland placed Long up against the cage and maneuvering himself to outside position. Here, Rowland then landed two vicious knees to Long’s ribs.

Then after the third knee connected Long’s shoulder popped out of place. The pain instantly forced Long to tap from the injury.
It was an unfortunate turn of events for both fighters. No fighter including these two wants to win a fight like this.
Regardless of how the fight ended, Rowland is now the Warrior FC and Valor Fights professional heavyweight champion. We’re not sure what the future looks like for the 41-year-old, but for now, the dual promotional champion has lots of options available to him.
