Hardrock MMA returns to Bowling Green this Saturday
Hardrock MMa is back to the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green this weekend. The promotions always has a strong showing of support in that part of the state and a full card of talent is on the menu for the fans.
The main event will feature former Hardrock MMA amateur champion, now pro, Jacob Kilburn (1-0) against Elliott Blair who is making his professional debut. Kilburn has won four fights in a row including a second round knockout back in November to kick start his professional campaign. Blairhas won three of his last four before turning pro.
It looks as if Brandon Campbell (4-1) will finally make his return to Kentucky for a fight as he meets Justin Thompson (3-1) for the vacant bantamweight title. Campbell hasn’t fought in his own state since February 2015 but not for lack of trying. He’s had numerous fights lined up that failed to come to light. Thompson had an impressive 2016. He started his early career with three straight wins, all by submission before his first loss that happened earlier this year.
Derek Smith (7-4, 1NC) will meet Jacob Warf with the light heavyweight title on the line. Smith’s last fight inside the Hardrock MMA caged ended in a no contest. Warf has won two in a row including a first round knockout of Trinity Holbert in November.
