Two title fights set for New League Fights: Lucky Strikes in March
Matt Montalvo will return to promoting next month, as New League Fights: Lucky Strikes is set to go down on March 11 in Montpelier, Ohio.
The pro portion of the card is still coming together, but the amateur side will be anchored by a pair of title fights.
At light heavyweight, Juan Montalvo (3-1) will square off with Joe Garcia (6-4), and super heavyweights Kaleb Raymond (6-4) and Harold “Bo” Johnson (3-1) will also throw down.
After dropping his first bout, Montalvo has reeled off three straight wins. His last outing was a TKO victory over Houston Collins at NLF: Battleground last July. Garcia has won two bouts in a row, including a submission over Zach Jimenez at the same Battleground event last year.
Raymond looks to extend his three-fight winning streak, as he has alternated competing at heavyweight and super heavyweight. His last outing was a decision win over Jon Martin at WNFS 42 in October. Johnson earned a title shot with an 18-second stoppage over Alex Bowen at NLF: The Takeover last April.
On the pro side, John Dirham (2-1) will square off against Max Fuentes (2-0), a pair of fighters will make their respective pro debuts, as Kevin Harrison (0-0, 4-1 am) takes on James Sanchez (0-0, 6-2 am).
More bouts are expected to be added to the event soon. Tickets are on sale now by contacting 419-984-2686.
