The first fight is set for RFO’s debut next month in Cleveland, as Cody Stevens (12-9-1) and Brandon Seyler (6-5-1) are set to throw down in a featherweight bout.
Stevens returns to action for the first time since October, when he was topped by John De Jesus via TKO in the third round of the main event at Big Guns 20. The bout was marred by a bit of controversy, as the referee refused to stop the bout despite a clear injury to Stevens’ leg.
Stevens is just 1-4 in his last five bouts, but the Strong Style fighter has been focusing on improving and fighting through various injuries. He also opened a gym in his native Mansfield recently.
Seyler hails from Erie, PA and is looking to snap out of a two-fight losing streak. He dropped a bout against Kody Nordby at CES MMA 38, and then lost to Jerrell Hodge at Bayfront Brawl II in November. Prior to the two losses, he had won three bouts in a row.
Big Guns 23 is also expected to feature Strong Style fighter JT Miller (2-1), and a featherweight bout between Dru Schottenheimer (2-1) and Jason Lawrence (1-1). Schottenheimer announced the bout on his Facebook page, and contracts are expected to be signed soon.
Big Guns 23 takes place on March 18 at the Masonic Auditorium in Cleveland. The event will stream live via FloCombat.
