Kellen VanCamp challenges Clay Baker for HardrockMMA title

Hardrock MMA returns February 4th and the featherweight title will be on the line. Clay Baker (6-0) will defend his title against Kellen VanCamp (6-0) at the Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville.

The challenger comes into the fight on a roll. Currently ranked second in the BluegrassMMA Rankings, VanCamp went 4-0 last year as the 20 year old three finishes in that span. He defeated William Debandi at Hardrock MMA 85 to notch his sixth straight win. He’s very dangerous when it comes to finishing fights as he’s demonstrated he has power as well as a strong submission game.

Clay Baker didn’t spend much time in the cage for 2016. In his lone fight it only took him 45 seconds to choke Seth Dixon unconscious at Hardrock MMA 84. He too brings a perfect record into the fight. In his six outings he’s only been to a decision once. He had a highlight reel knockout over Scot Wegman at Turf Wars 23 and has three submissions on his resume.

Someone’s 0 has to go right? This is about as solid a matchup as we’ve seen on the amateur stage. Don’t be shocked if you see this fight played out a few more times, maybe even at the professional level.

Hardrock MMA 86 takes place February 4th in Shepherdsville. Tickets are available at HardrockMMA.com.  Stay close to BluegrassMMA for more.
