Evva Johnson vs. Heather Corder headlines Warrior FC’s return to Somerset
Warrior FC will return to Somerset this weekend for the first time in 9 long years. Jimbo Collins and company will be bringing a solid card that features a professional women’s main event between Invicta FC veteran Evva Johnson as she meets familiar foe Heather Cord.
Collins had this to say about the event.
Evva Johnson is an Invicta veteran and undoubtedly one of the most dangerous female pros in the entire Ohio Valley Region. Her opponent is from the same town and has trained with Evva. Heather Corder will know a lot about what Evva will try to do. Look for an exciting fight. This is one of just four female fights on the card. I look for all four to be highly competitive and entertaining.
It has been nearly two years since Johnson has seen competition. Her last fight was in December of 2014 when she made her Invicta FC debut. She ended up dropping a decision in a hard fought fight to Rachael Ostovich. She made her pro debut in the very venue she returns to on Saturday.
Heather Corder is a Warrior FC veteran who made her MMA debut back in 2007. She defeated Vanessa Bohleber-Higdon in her pro debut but dropped back to back fights in 2010 before taking a hiatus.
Warrior FC “Bad Blood” takes place Saturday December 3rd at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset. We will there to bring you all of the results and more. Stay close to BluegrassMMA for more on this event throughout the week.
