After crowning a new middleweight champion in Nick Kraus at their last event in November, Hoosier Fight Club 27 will see new pro champs crowned in the heavyweight and welterweight divisions in February.

HFC returns to the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, Indiana for a second time, and headlining the event will be a heavyweight title bout featuring Daniel James (5-1) taking on Arnold Adams (6-9).

After making his pro debut with a win over Erik Correa at Bellator 112 in 2014, the Chicago native James has earned four of his five victories via stoppage and is riding a four-fight winning streak. Most recently, the Midwest Training Center product submitted Patrick Harman in the first round at HFC 25 in September.

James posted about the fight on Facebook:

“We are about to turn up 2016 blue chip casino heavy weight title book your hotel get your seats . Get your vip . Double cup what ever you need February 6th what ever it take make it do what it do . Because I’m gonna turn up”

Another Illinois native, Adams has rebounded after starting his career 1-5. He has won two straight bouts via stoppage, including a TKO win over Miodrag Petkovich and a first round knockout over Aaron Noel in October.

In the co-main event, Kevin Nowaczyk (12-3) will battle Dequan Townsend (14-3) for the organization’s welterweight title.

An “Ultimate Fighter” veteran, Chicago’s Nowaczyk returned to action after a 14-month layoff at HFC 26 in November, as he topped Quartus Stitt via decision.

Nowaczyk warned his fans to be ready:

“Alright guys time to save another date for me!! February 6th at the Blue chip casino!! The event was amazing last time and this time will be no different. I’m fighting a very game opponent for a welterweight title and need my crew behind me like always. Start Checking on hotel rooms now because last time they sold out fast and a lot of ppl wanted one!! Thanks again for everything you all!!”

One of the hottest fighters on the regional scene, Lansing, Michigan’s Townsend posted a 6-0 record in 2015 including five wins via stoppage. Most recently, the XFC vet submitted Erick Lozano at a TWC event in his home state in November.
