Gina Begley returns to St. Louis, will meet undefeated Marissa Smith on May 16th

Gina Begley won her first title back in October at Warriors for Heroes: MMA vs. PTSD in St. Louis and her return fight will take her back to Missouri as she announced her next fight earlier today. Begley (4-2) will meet Marissa Smith (7-0) at Rumble Time Promotions on May 16th at the Ameristar Hotel and Casino.
The 33 year old Begley hasn’t fought since winning that title. She has since graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and has taken an active managerial role at AFS Academy in Richmond. She has helped teammates Adam Fritz, Emily Bartee, David Crowe and others maintain an impressive undefeated streak dating back to last September. All four of Begley’s wins have been by submission however she was able to knockout her opponent with a body shot during last year’s Thai Boxing Assosication Tournament in Iowa.
Her opponent is undefeated Marissa Smith. She is coming off a first round win earlier this month at Shamrock FC over Crystal Stevens. At least three of her fights have ended in the first round.
