It is hard not to be bias when talking about Jessamyn Duke(2-1). We have been a proud fans since we saw her win her first amateur title. She hasn’t took her foot off the gas pedal since then. After three professional fights she now controls her own destiny at The Ultimate Fighter Season 18 tryouts in Las Vegas.
Even though she came up short in a highly controversial loss to Miriam Nakamoto at Invicta FC 5, Duke sits among the most talented up and comers in her division. A division that is setting the UFC on fire with perfomances so far this year. With her strong striking and impressive submission skills Duke could be a force in the UFC bantamweight division for years to come.
She will face tough competition in the first ever try outs for females on the reality show. Seasoned vets such as Tara La Rosa, Shayna Baszler and more have made their way to Vegas to showcase their skills. It will be a highly competitive process but one that will help pave the way for many seasons to come.
She has already made Kentucky proud but she has the chance to win over the masses with a spot on either Team Rousey or Team Zingano. Stay tuned to see if our pal makes it to the big dance.
