XFC’s Angela Magana eager to pick a fight
Recently the XFC announced the signing of 115 strawweight female prospect Angela Magana (11-5). The following Sunday she took the opportunity to talk with WV Fights Sports Radio about being signed, being born a heroin addicted child and many other ordeals. Barely taking a breath, Magana expounded her life story as well as speaking on the 115 division running from her as a challenge including fellow XFC straweight Heather Jo Clark.
Some high points of the interview include her ordealof being homeless, suffering two incidents of breaking her back and living with a heroin addicted parent. No stranger to the drama, Magana was sure to saturate flames with fuel of a fire she ignited between herself and Heather Jo Clark.
Clark is coming off a loss to Stephanie Eggink (or as Magana referred to her, “that Egg, Eggnink girl“). Clark responded on twitter calling Magana a drama queen and tweeting the XFC announcing it is a fight she would take.
Following the interview there was a back and forth twitter battle between the two. The XFC responded retweeting the challenge as accepted and pleased with the newley signed Magna’s rampage of verbal assassination announcing they had “signed a feisty one”. What will this mean for the XFC and Magana? Magana hopes the XFC will allow her to fight other females in a quest to settle personal vendettas. Magana goes on to discuss personal issues with such top strawweights as Carla Esparza, Patricia Vidonic, and Felice Herrig.
Another topic not talked about by most females involved, was a project for reality TV that has yet to air and is still being litigated. Magana talks openly about the show and sheds some light on what the fighters involved had to live through. Magana showed no signs that she will shy aware from a fight or the opportunity to share her opinions on any topic brought up. Magana ended the grand finale interview insinuating Co-Host Wes Hanson needed to not be a cry baby about a loss. For the full experience listen to the interview here.
