Covington, Kentucky – Team Bluegrass is on scene for another installment of Absolute Action MMA presents: AAMMA 26 at Shimmers Ballroom located in Covington, Kentucky.

We are set to have an all amateur card featuring ten fights including two title fights. The two titles are up for grabs as Jack Podgorski is set to square off against champion Chris Dunn for the featherweight title and Phillip Perkins is up against Donnie Ballou for the vacant flyweight title.

Fight 1 – Middleweight: Collin Applegate (0-0) def Michael Derby (0-0) via Submission (Rear naked choke) 00:22 into Round 1. Collin improves his record to 1-0 winning his amateur debut.

Fight 2 – Featherweight: Wesley Kiper (2-0) def Rich Casson (1-1) via Submission (Rear naked choke) 01:10 into Round 1. Wesley improves his record to 3-0 keeping his undefeated streak alive.

Fight 3 – Featherweight: Chris Dunn (9-5) def Jack Podgorski via TKO (Doc stoppage unable to answer the bell) 03:00 into Round 4. Chris successfully defends his featherweight title and improves his record to 10-5 as an amateur.

Fight 4 – Bantamweight: Rosalie Dallary (0-1) def Elisa Merida (0-0) via TKO (Ref stoppage; Elisa was having issues) 02:57 into Round 1. Rosalie gets her first victory inside the cage improving her record to 1-1 as an amateur.

Fight 5 – Bantamweight: Zac Carpenter (3-2) def Jeff Johnson (1-0) via TKO (Ref stoppage due to injury (knee)) 01:18 into Round 1. Zac improves his record to 4-2 as an amateur.

Fight 6 – Lightweight: Reggie Merriweather (8-7) def Robert Ingram (4-2) via Unanimous Decision (Judge 1 30-27, Judge 2 30-27, Judge 3 30-27). Reggie improves his record to 9-7 as an amateur.

Fight 7 – Featherweight: Chris Meyers (3-6) def Keith Meyers (5-2) via KO 00:33 intro Round 1. Chris Meyers improves his record to 4-6 as an amateur.

Fight 8 – Welterweight: Will Cates (2-1) def Rogelio Garzon (1-0) via Submission (Rear naked choke) 01:30 into Round 3. Will improves his record to 3-1 as an amateur.

Fight 9 – Flyweight: Phillip Perkins (2-1) def Donnie Ballou (5-3) via Submission (Guillotine choke) 00:28 into Round 2. Phillip is the first ever AAMMA Flyweight Champion and improves his record to 3-1 as an amateur.
